They ask "who, what, where, when?" and neglect the WHY. Kunstler's been pretty spot on with his analysis, though; check out his Clusterfuck Nation Chronicles for a weekly (and typically caustic) reality check on this most important of issues. ~ We are entering a time of great instability and change. Let's hope, pray, and work towards our higher nature prevailing.
