Rainy Day Activities
I’m caught in the cross-hairs between house-rattling lightning strikes punctuating a deluge of rain and tornado warnings, so I’m taking advantage of a “window” to let you know I’ll likely be down most of the day.
Meanwhile, here are a few things that pleased me, perfect for a wet, gloomy Saturday.
The first bit — a snip from one of my fav blogs re: Dubby’s alternative fuel spiel … caught me off guard and I laughed so hard I did that coffee-nose thing. [Don't be drinking anything when you read it.]
After that, a few ‘toons and the latest Fiori. Last, a YouTube of Melissa E’s nominated song from Inconvenient Truth to prepare you for the Oscars [and an interesting evening for Al G.]

In a room of 2-gallon carboys holding liquid the color of amber beer, Bush picked up a jar of straw to show off to the journalists tagging along.
“Straw!” he proclaimed. Cameras clicked and whirred.
“Someday, you’re going to be using this in your car,” he said.
He picked up another jar. “Spruce chips!”
Then he said, “I made a doodie!” and started crying for his mama. ++

nominated as best song for Inconvenient Truth
“So keep fightin’ for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don’t you forget to have fun doin’ it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin’ ass and celebratin’ the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was.”
